Information you provide
Contact forms collect your name, email address, subject and message. A tool enquiry also records the selected entry’s identifier, title, reference and page address. An organisation name is optional where that field is shown. Share only what is needed to explain the question. Do not submit passwords, payment credentials, customer exports or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Purpose and administrative records
Messages are used to respond to editorial enquiries, consider corrections and manage website matters. Stored records include submission time, processing status and a site-specific hash derived from the visitor IP address for abuse checks. Authorised administrators can add private notes. A bounded history records up to the latest 100 status or note-change events, including the administrator and time; it does not retain earlier note bodies.
Sessions, notifications and outside sites
A browser session supports form security and duplicate-submission checks. When email notifications are enabled, the configured mail service processes the relevant notification. A saved-message confirmation is distinct from email delivery. Linked provider sites have their own information practices. No analytics or advertising tracking is enabled by default; changes to those services require a review of this notice.
Retention and requests
Messages are retained until an authorised administrator deletes them; there is no automatic fixed deletion period. Ask about access, correction or deletion through contact or [email protected], giving enough information to locate the record. Verification may be needed before a request is acted on.
